Project Overview
In the heart of Longmont’s historic Kensington neighborhood, LSE brought new life to the community with a thoughtful ground-up construction project that balanced modern living with historic preservation. This project wasn’t just about building homes—it was about collaborating as CMGC with developers, architects, and the city to ensure the new residences fit seamlessly into the neighborhood while meeting floodplain, historic, and affordable housing requirements. The work began with careful site preparation, including grading, clearing, tree removal, and the demolition of existing structures. Traffic control and fencing helped keep the area safe and accessible throughout the process. Infrastructure upgrades followed, with new city sewer and water mains, updated gas service, and new transformers to support the homes. The finished development includes two townhome buildings, each with three spacious units featuring three bedrooms and 2.5 baths—designed for comfortable, modern living. Additionally, an existing historic home on the property was preserved and updated, offering two bedrooms and two baths while maintaining its original character. This project is a great example of blending new construction with historic charm, creating homes that honor the past while serving the needs of the community today.

Project Overview
This unique 3371 square foot ADU addition in Longmont, CO, seamlessly blends modern functionality with the charm of a historic home. Built by LSE Builders Group with careful attention to detail, the project maximized the available space while working within a tight property line. The two-story addition includes a modern apartment with a spacious roof deck above the garage, offering both privacy and versatility. A complex truss layout and a stunning 10-foot, four-panel patio door bring an open, airy feel to the space. To ensure year-round comfort, the mechanical plan was revised in coordination with the owner to incorporate a secondary mini-split for optimal climate control. Finishes were selected to complement both the historic character of the main home and the modern upgrades of the addition. Exterior stucco provides durability, while walnut-grain garage and ADU entry doors add warmth. Inside, high-end details like Carrara marble countertops, a custom tile shower pan, LED stair lighting, and shaker-style cabinetry with black and brass accents create a refined yet timeless aesthetic.
